About Dr. Yore
Lawrence M. Yore, MD, FACS of Advanced Urology of South Florida in Delray Beach, Florida, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans. He continued his biomedical engineering education with a master’s degree at the University of Miami before pursuing a degree in medicine.
After earning his medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Dr. Yore completed two years of general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, followed by a urology residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He enhanced his general urology training with a year-long fellowship in urologic oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the nation’s first cancer research, treatment, and education center.
Dr. Yore is an affiliate assistant professor of clinical biomedical science in the Department of Surgery at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. Board certified by the American Board of Urology, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Having practiced urology in South Florida since 1990, Dr. Yore has been on staff at Delray Medical Center (DMC) since 1992 and has been honored to serve as both their chief of surgery and a governing board member. Dr. Yore has also been on staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital since 1993, and he is a consultant at Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Yore specializes in the nonsurgical and surgical treatment of all urologic disorders, including cancer treatment and screening; prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicle issues; PSA blood testing; laser surgery; in-office ultrasound; impotence treatments, such as MUSE, self-injection therapy, and penile implants; kidney stones; lithotripsy; ureteroscopy; voiding disorders, incontinence, and frequent urination; urinary tract infections (UTIs); male infertility treatment, including semen analysis; hormone therapy; varicocelectomy; and state-of-the-art, no-scalpel, in-office vasectomies.
Proud to be an active member of the Delray Beach community, in 1993 Dr. Yore was instrumental in establishing a monthly prostate cancer support group at DMC, and he continues to facilitate this group to this day. Dr. Yore also enjoys speaking to men’s clubs and participating in hospital lecture series.
A South Florida native, Dr. Yore resides in Boca Raton with his wife Stacy.
